Lead Me Home Leadership Council

About

The Leadership Council (LC) serves as the Continuum of Care Board for Monterey and San Benito Counties’ and is authorized through the Charter to act on behalf of the Lead Me Home CoC by setting policies and standards, determining funding priorities and resource allocations, providing strategic direction, and ensuring accountability among stakeholders for regulatory compliance and progress toward ending homelessness in Monterey and San Benito Counties.

The responsibility of this body is to:

III.                 Monitoring and Evaluation

IV.                Design and Operate an HMIS

V.                  System Coordination

VI.                CoC Planning

VII.               Provide strategic direction

VIII.             Ensure accountability among stakeholders for progress in reducing and preventing homelessness in Monterey and San Benito Counties

Category 1 Voting Members – Appointed Seats

In accordance with the Continuum of Care Governance Charterthe Leadership Council is composed of 12 appointed seats that are not subject to term limits to ensure continuity and commitment from key stakeholders needed to address homelessness. This includes one Monterey County Supervisor, four Monterey County Mayors (appointed by the Mayor’s Association), the Housing Authority of the County of Monterey, Monterey County Health Department, Monterey County Department of Social Services, Monterey County Office of Education, San Benito County Department of Health and Human Services, and two elected officials from the County of San Benito.

Rotating Seats are filled with others that represent important stakeholders or sectors, like service providers, criminal justice, those with lived experience, Veterans, Youth and the LGBTQ+ community.
